About Us
How It All Began
The Outfitter Review
My love for hunting, fishing and trapping started at a young age. If I couldn’t hunt it and eat it, I wanted to catch it and study it. Growing up in the country, 20 miles from the nearest store, the outdoors wasn’t just a pastime—it was a way of life. My siblings and I never left the house without a fishing pole or a .22 rifle. It was part of who we were. Our dad dreamed of being a mountain man, but raising cattle and a family kept him rooted—though his passion for the outdoors left a lasting mark on us.
After high school, I joined the Marine Corps. While I’m proud of that time, it severed me from the land and lifestyle I loved. Hunting and fishing aren’t easy when you live in the barracks, and even if you managed to harvest something, there wasn’t a place to process or cook it. When I returned to Texas, I found myself stuck in the city for work. But I wasn’t the only one. I met countless others—transplants—who had also been separated from their stomping grounds, from the places and people they once hunted and fished with. That shared longing inspired this project.
This platform is about reconnecting—people to the land, to each other, and to the traditions that define us. It’s also about supporting the landowners, ranchers, and stewards who care for our natural resources but often struggle during droughts or down years. What’s a bucket-list hunt for one person could be a lifeline for someone else trying to keep a ranch running. Whether it’s hunting, fishing, or simply capturing the wild through a camera lens, our goal is to bridge the gap—giving people access to unforgettable experiences while preserving the heritage of the outdoors for generations to come.
Who We Are
The Outfitter Review is a platform built for hunters, anglers, outdoor enthusiasts, guides, and landowners. Our mission is simple: make it easier, more transparent, and more accessible for people to connect with trusted outdoor experiences—whether it’s a guided hunt, fishing trip, or wildlife photography opportunity.
We created this platform to solve a real problem in the outdoor community. For too long, finding a quality outfitter or guided experience meant relying on scattered Facebook groups, SEO-driven listing sites where visibility is often bought—not earned—or word of mouth that rarely extends beyond your immediate circle. We believe there’s a better way.
At The Outfitter Review, every listing is tied to real feedback from real outdoorsmen. Our rating system is based on honest reviews—not paid promotions or inflated likes. That means guides and landowners are recognized for the quality of the experience they provide, not how much they spend on marketing.
Whether you’re a seasoned hunter looking for your next adventure, a landowner wanting to share your property, or a guide who takes pride in your work and wants to be discovered for the right reasons—we’re here to connect you. We’re more than a booking site—we’re a community. One rooted in authenticity, accountability, and a shared passion for the outdoors.
Meet the Team
Passionate professionals
Bobby B was raised farming and ranching with his extended family, where early mornings, long days, and a deep connection to the outdoors shaped who he is today. From an early age, he found joy in hunting and fishing—whether chasing whitetails in the brush country or casting a line on the Texas coast, the outdoors became his lifelong passion.
After high school, Bobby served in the United States Marine Corps, where he was introduced to technology while supporting an F-18 squadron. The Marines taught him discipline and provided a foundation in computers that grew into a 15+ year career in technology.
Today, Bobby blends his roots with his expertise. With a passion for the land, a love of hunting and fishing, and a career built on technology, he created The Outfitter Review to connect hunters, fishermen, guides, and landowners in a better way. His goal is simple: make it easier to discover quality trips, build trust through honest reviews, and spend more time in the field and on the water.
