A New Chapter for The Outfitter Review

Built to help you find your next outdoor experience—and help the people who make it possible.

An outdoor experience starts long before you reach the boat ramp, settle into a blind, or pull a camera from your pack. It starts with finding the right people, understanding what’s offered, and making a plan you can trust.

That’s what we’ve been working toward with the updated The Outfitter Review. We’ve rebuilt key parts of the website to make it easier to showcase Trips and Services, communicate with outfitters, and manage the details in one place.

For the people who live for the outdoors.
And the people who make it their business.

More ways to experience the outdoors

The outdoors isn’t one kind of trip—or one kind of business. Our platform brings together hunting, fishing, photography tours, and combination experiences, alongside outdoor services such as dog training and retrieval.

Trip and Service listings have fields tailored to the offering, helping hosts explain what they provide and helping visitors understand what to expect. Photo galleries give hosts room to show the places, facilities, animals, equipment, and experiences that make their offering worth a closer look.

From time on the water to time behind the lens, every experience deserves room to tell its story.

Your schedule. Your availability.

Hosting doesn’t always mean being available seven days a week. Some outfitters operate during a short season. Others guide on weekends around a full-time job.

Set your season

Choose the date range when your listing is available.

Choose your days

Offer weekends, selected weekdays, or the schedule that fits your operation.

Protect your time

Block unavailable dates without rebuilding your listing.

Each listing can also accommodate its own booking arrangement: a private party reserving an experience or separate customers booking available spots. Different experiences call for different arrangements.

A workspace for your outdoor business

The updated outfitter dashboard brings important information together, including listings, booking requests, messages, calendars, and reviews. Booking tools connect dashboard actions with the relevant conversation, helping keep decisions and communication together.

  • Start now, finish later. Save an unfinished listing as a draft.
  • Build on what works. Edit an offering or clone it to create a similar experience.
  • Pause without starting over. Hide a listing until you’re ready to make it available again.

Less searching. More clarity.

Customers have their own dashboard for keeping track of requests, upcoming experiences, messages, saved listings, and reviews. We’ve also refreshed navigation, improved listing presentation, and added explanations beside many Trip and Service fields.

The goal is straightforward: make the next step easier to understand, whether you’re creating your first listing or exploring an experience you’ve never tried before.

Reviews that help people choose

The Outfitter Review is built around the people delivering the experience. Our review tools include relevant rating categories so feedback can explain more than a single overall score. That gives customers a better picture of an experience and gives hosts more useful feedback about what went well and where they can improve.

We’re opening the doors in stages

We’re currently welcoming people to create accounts, explore the platform, and prepare listings.

Online payments and merchandise checkout are not yet open. We’re completing the remaining payment and business reviews before activating transactions.

In the meantime, this is an opportunity for outfitters and service providers to build their presence, add photos, and get their offerings ready.

Help shape what comes next

If you host hunts, guide fishing trips, lead photography experiences, or provide an outdoor service, we’d like you to be part of it.
